We got tired of buying drones on faith.
If you've ever bought a used drone, you know the drill. A forum post or a marketplace listing, a handful of photos, a seller who swears the battery is fine, and a payment app that gives you zero recourse if the box shows up with a cracked gimbal. Sellers have it just as bad — chargebacks, lowballers, and "is this still available?" forever.
Avionic Ledger is our attempt to fix that. It's a marketplace for drones where every listing is reviewed before it's published, card payments are held in Protected Payments by Stripe until the buyer has the drone in hand and confirms it's as described. If it's not, they open a dispute and we sort it out case by case. Sellers keep 90% of the sale — 95% for Founding and Pro members. We take 10% only when a sale actually completes (5% for Founding and Pro) — there's no fee to list.
Along the way we added two things people kept asking for: a directory of licensed pilots (we check the license — FAA Part 107 in the US, EASA in Europe, CAA in the UK, CASA in Australia, and so on) and a simple job board where you can describe a project and get bids.

Where your money is
Follow the payment, step by step.
Step 1 · You pay by card
Stripe charges the card. The seller never sees your card details, and the money does not reach them.
Step 2 · We hold the funds
The payment is held in Protected Payments on our Stripe account. The seller sees only that the sale cleared, and ships.
Step 3 · You inspect it
You get the tracking number, the drone arrives, and you fly it and check the battery and gimbal. If anything's off from the listing, open a dispute.
Step 4 · Then the seller is paid
You confirm it matches the listing and we release the seller's share (90% for free members, 95% for Founding and Pro) plus the full shipping to the seller.
If the drone never arrives, or arrives not as described, the money is still with us — not gone.
