Ship-In Process
Sending Your Drone In, Step by Step
You don't need a repair shop in your city. Most benches on Avionic Ledger take drones shipped in from anywhere in their country — here's exactly how it goes.
- 01
Pack it like it flew in
Remove the props, tape the gimbal in its clamp, and pull the battery to under 30% charge. Original case inside a padded box is ideal — two inches of foam or bubble wrap on every side otherwise.
- 02
Print the label from your job page
Once you accept a bid, the technician's shipping address appears on the job page. Print the label, tape it on, and hand the box to the carrier — no back-and-forth over messages.
- 03
Both sides see the tracking
Drop the tracking number into the job thread. The technician knows exactly when the drone lands, so it goes on the bench the day it arrives instead of sitting in a queue.
- 04
Your money stays put
The repair price is charged when you accept the bid, but it is held in Protected Payments on Avionic Ledger — not in the technician's account — for the whole time your drone is away.
- 05
Fly it, then release payment
The technician ships it back with notes on what was replaced. Test it, confirm the repair, and the payment releases. If it came back wrong, open a dispute and we mediate before anyone gets paid.

Common questions
How do I get my drone repaired through Avionic Ledger?
